    Definitely a “manufacturing problem”

I completely refuse to believe that the shrinking size of the large chews is a “manufacturing problem” as you’ve replied to a previous review. There are still the same number of chews in the bag and the chews seem like they’ve even gotten shorter I have little doubt the weight in the large bags has gone down. If it really was a “manufacturing problem” the defects should’ve either been sold at a discounted price or recalled and cut down/repackaged into the petite bags. It’s pretty obvious they just started using the extruder head for the petite size to make the “large” ones. Y’all need to do the right thing and return them to the original size or reduce the price and have any retailers selling your treats do the same. If something doesn’t change soon I’ll be switching my dog over to vitamins and using the money I save not buying these to get his teeth properly cleaned on a regular basis.

Hey J.D., we hear you loud and clear. It must be impossible to believe that in this era of severe inflation a company would not be doing this on purpose. The proof will come when the next batch hits the shelves and to specifications that we strive for. Because these chews are made up of our special flax seed supplement base, they sometimes come out differently. These chews are more difficult to make than just extruding simple glycerin like many other companys' chews. We'd be happy to get you extra chews to make up for it or refund your money. But we promise, this is not a cost-saving measure we did on purpose. That's just not who we are. Consider that all of the hundreds of our other animal care products manufactured by our family-owned and operated company here at W.F. Young, Inc. have all remained the same size and quality over the years. Sometimes stuff just happens and you can be sure we take swift action to fix it!

    Shrinking Size

Have always loved these but, sadly, the bag we just received has a much thinner stick! I had 1 left from our previous bag and could not believe the substantial difference. And, no price change. Very disappointed!

Hi there, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for any disappointment caused by the difference in size of our Smartmouth™ Dental Chews. This was not the result of a cost saving measure. We are currently looking into this manufacturing issue and will work to ensure that our product consistently meets our high quality standards. Please feel free to reach out to our customer service team for any further assistance. Thank you for your support.

    What happen to them ?

They are so skinny now that I have to give my dog 1 1/2 .

Can you confirm that you purchased the same size?

One dog loves them the other is sometimes

They’re crunchy which I like. One dog loves it. My other one won’t eat one daily but eats one when he feels like it. I haven’t seen any obvious dental improvements as of yet.
